One of the things that we really like about the Yoga Burn program is that you don’t need a lot of expensive equipment to do it. All you will need are some comfortable clothing like yoga pants and a sports bra or t-shirt, and a good yoga mat.

How Often Should I Do Yoga Burn?

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Journal of the American Medical Association say that you should do at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity aerobics. They also recommend that you do some type of strength training at least twice a week.

In this Yoga Burn review, we found that the program meets the requirement for both aerobics and strength training. And it works all of the major muscles in your body. So you should do Yoga Burn two to three times per week.

Dynamic sequencing is a unique approach to yoga that will help to teach you exactly how to do each pose correctly, along with the proper duration and sequence from the beginning to the end.

The 3 Phases of Yoga Burn

The Yoga Burn program divides the workouts into three phases: the Foundational Flow phase, the Transitional Flow phase, and the Mastery Flow phase. Each stage has different videos that build upon each other. So you will be doing the phases in order.

1. The Foundational Flow Phase

Phase one builds your foundation. This phase will teach you the fundamentals.

You will spend the first four weeks in this phase. While you’re learning the poses, you will be building a strong mind-body connection. You will need that throughout the entire program. It is essential that you master this phase before you move on to the other two.

If you are a beginner, you can spend more than four weeks in this phase.

2. The Transitional Flow Phase

Phase two will teach you how to take all of the moves that you learned in stage one and put them into a combination that flows. This second stage will get your heart rate up and burn more calories than you did in phase one.

Each of the three videos in this phase will work on major muscle groups: upper body, lower body, and core. Learning how to link the poses feels really good. It will also allow you to focus on being present.

3. The Mastery Flow Phase

Phase three kicks it up a notch. In this phase, you will combine everything that you learned in the first two phases into a hot sequence that will rev up your metabolism and transform your body.

The three videos in this phase work even more on your muscles than stage two. Yoga Burn designed this phase to reenergize and reinvigorate your mental focus. And it does all of that while maximizing your weight-loss results.

In our Yoga Burn review, we found that all of the videos are 45 minutes long with a 15-minute workout that they repeat three times. The beautiful thing about that is that if you’re short on time, you can do your exercises in just 15 minutes.

There’s a Lot to Love About Yoga Burn

One thing that we loved about this program is that they give alternative versions of all of the exercises. That is helpful for beginners or anyone that has any injuries or health issues.

Another thing that we liked about the Yoga Burn program is that it is pretty affordable, costing from $35 to $50. There aren’t a lot of consumer reviews available for Yoga Burn, but the professional reviews are very positive.

Most yogis love this program. But some complained that it is a little fast-paced for beginners. I recommend that beginners spend some extra time working in phase one where they will learn the fundamentals. I’ve mentioned this already, but it’s imperative that you complete four weeks in each stage before you move on to the next.

How Yoga Burn Stacks up to the Competition

In our Yoga Burn review, we also took a look at three other top-selling yoga programs to see how they compared.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is explicitly for mid-lifers aged 40 to 70. This program comes with seven beginner practices. First, there are three workouts that you can do at different times of the day. One is for first thing in the morning, one is for a mid-workday break, and the last one is for the evening.

On top of that, there are three workouts designed to help in areas that can be problematic for older adults. One is for improving balance, one is for core work and flexibility, and the third is for standing poses that increase hip flexibility. Finally, Gentle Yoga offers an amazing guided relaxation.

In the Yoga Burn review, I mentioned that the program was 12 weeks long with three different workouts introduced every four weeks. Gentle Yoga, on the other hand, offers fewer workouts. This program also doesn’t burn as many calories as Yoga Burn.

However, Gentle Yoga is cheaper than Yoga Burn, costing from $15 to $20. And it gets killer reviews. Amazon customers rate it nearly perfect at 4.8 out of 5 stars. Most people love this program. Many people commented on how easy this program is for beginners. You will get results with Gentle Yoga, but they will come slower than what you’ll get with Yoga Burn.

3 Week Yoga Retreat

The next program that we looked at in our Yoga Burn review is the 3 Week Yoga Retreat. This program comes with 4 DVDs which offer 21 different workouts that are 30 minutes each.

Similar to Yoga Burn, 3 Week Yoga Retreat breaks their routines up into three groups: the Foundation, which you do in week one, Expansion, which you do in week two, and Progression, which you do in week three. This program also comes with a nutrition guide and class calendar. These workouts are probably better for beginners than the Yoga Burn system, but they don’t burn as many calories.

The 3 Week Yoga Retreat is more expensive than Yoga Burn, costing from $70 to $75. But like the others we reviewed, it gets excellent reviews. Amazon customers rate it 4.1 out of 5 stars. Most people speak very highly about this program, but some complained that the workouts were too difficult for beginners. Another big complaint about it is that the videos are full of commercials.

Chalene Johnson’s PiYo

The final program that we looked at in our Yoga Burn review is Chalene Johnson’s PiYo. This 60-day program is a little different than the others because it combines pilates and yoga into one. This program comes with 3 DVDs that feature 10 different workouts. Each one ranges from 25 to 45 minutes in length.

In our Yoga Burn review, we found that PiYo is the most similar to it. The workouts in PiYo give you just as much strength work, and the routines move at a similarly fast pace that will get your heart rate up and burn tons of calories. This program also comes with a calendar and an eating plan.

PiYo is significantly more expensive than Yoga Burn, costing from $70 to $80. And while it gets positive reviews, it doesn’t get as high ratings as the others we reviewed. Amazon customers only rate it 3.8 out of 5 stars. Most people actually love the PiYo workouts, but many rated them lower because the videos have way too many commercials.

A Final Thought on the Yoga Burn Review

Overall in our Yoga Burn review, we found that the program is safe and effective. And we found that it burns a ton of calories. The only caution that we have about it is that it moves very fast. That doesn’t make it ideal for beginners. It’s not that beginners can’t do this workout. They can. But if you’re a beginner, you should pay extra attention to phase one. Make sure that you master all of the poses and technique before you try to move on to the next stage to avoid injury and frustration.

So would I recommend this program after doing the Yoga Burn review? Absolutely.

We also really liked the PiYo workout. I would rate it just as high as Yoga Burn if it didn’t have the annoying problem of bombarding you with commercials.
